A transition into a fresh year is often a time of reflection and preparation. Here at Heartland, we want to know the Word of the Lord for the coming season. It is for this reason that we fast together every January.
The dates this year are January 7-27. We want to encourage you to participate in this 21-day fast and to begin asking the Lord now what He would have you fast during that time.
God may ask you to abstain from food altogether or He may ask you to limit your meals to one a day throughout that time. Whatever you choose to do, do it with your whole heart expecting God to speak in preparation for His purposes in your life for 2019.
During the final week of our corporate fast we will be having additional prayer times. Thursday and Friday (January 24 & 25) from 7-8 pm and Saturday (January 26) will be extended to 7-9 pm.
