Sometimes life takes you by surprise and you find you need help, whether for yourself or for a loved one. The following is a list of counseling, recovery and resource providers whom Heartland Church recommends. We encourage you to reach out for help when you need it.

Family Legacy Counseling - Professional mental health care serving central Iowa through individual, couple, family, and child therapy.

Adult and Teen Challenge of the Midlands - A a faith-based facility that helps individuals of all ages overcome life-controlling problems and addictions through a holistic model of drug and alcohol recovery. This means a concern for the body, mind, and spirit of those who come to our addiction recovery centers. Adult and Teen Challenge of the Midlands endeavors to help people become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive.

Restored By Grace - Abortion Recovery: Bringing hope, healing and restoration to men, women and families from the lies and pain of an abortion and other events in life.

Ruth Harbor - Christ-centered homes, programs and comprehensive services, resulting in positive life change for young moms facing unplanned pregnancies or parenting young children.

Obria -Fully-Licensed medical clinic providing healthcare through community care. If you think you might be pregnant, it is time to have a professional pregnancy test. Tests are 100% confidential. If you have taken the first Abortion Pill very recently and wish to reverse it, contact Obria immediately.

Iowa Victim Service Call Center - A resource to victims and survivors of crime throughout all of Iowa.  With staff available 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, callers are given the full attention they deserve. 800-770-1650 or  text ‘IOWAHELP’ to 20121.

Garden Gate Ranch - A non-profit 501(c)(3), faith-based, Christian organization providing assistance, resources, and training for the sexually exploited in a residential setting.

Freedom Ministry - Trained teams are available for anyone who would like prayer ministry. Located in Heartland's Atrium on the second Tuesday of every month from 6 - 8 pm.

The Ankeny Service Center - Food and financial assistance for Ankeny residents.

The Cupboard - Those in need can visit The Cupboard to pick up a food bag of non-perishable food, milk, meat, produce and bread for their families. Personal care items are also available. - Support to help family caregivers like you make better decisions, save time and money and feel less alone.
